A purpose-built bat barn created as part of the Hinkley Connection Project is thriving as a sanctuary for local bat species, with recent ecological monitoring confirming its growing importance as a year-round habitat.

Our contractors, Balfour Beatty, working on behalf of National Grid’s Hinkley Connection Project, partnered with volunteers from the Strawberry Line Trust to improve accessibility along Somerset’s much-loved community pathway.
