We play an active role in the communities we serve. And we’re proud that wherever National Grid Ventures operates, we have a positive and lasting impact on the communities that we live and work alongside.

Being a responsible business

At NGV, we always strive to do the right thing, acting responsibly in all our activities. Our clean energy projects are helping tackle some of the planet’s biggest energy challenges while also creating economic growth and jobs for local people.

We work hard to give back to local communities in different ways. NGV runs thriving community and education programmes both in the UK and the US. For example, we set up an $800,000 Community Fund to support local initiatives close to our Crocker Wind Farm project that will deliver clean energy in South Dakota. And we’re encouraging the next generation of young people to consider careers in the energy sector through our extensive STEM education programmes.

Our colleagues are passionate about getting involved in local good causes. So we support them to volunteer their time for charity events and community projects.
