National Grid continues to advance Western New York’s revitalization by awarding economic development grants to five projects that are breathing new life into old buildings and reshaping commercial corridors and main streets across the company’s service territory.

On Aug. 16, National Grid volunteers joined Fillmore Forward for a day of celebration and community gardening in East Buffalo as they built a new space and dedicated a pavilion for residents in nearby neighborhoods to plant vegetables and learn about gardening and sustainability.

National Grid and its workforce development partners held a signing ceremony for the first six recipients of the National Grid Electric Worker Scholarship, a new program designed to assist students as they pursue their education at Hudson Valley Community College during the 2024-2025 academic year and explore careers as electrical workers.
