Make-Ready Program Incentives Covered Installation costs at New Apartment Complex

At a celebration for the new 600 River Road Apartment complex, the ribbon was freshly cut and had barely drifted to the ground when Lou and Donna Visone of RockOne Development LLC made their way to pose for a picture with the new EV charging plugs that were made possible with incentives provided through National Grid's EV Make-Ready program.

The husband and wife team were joined on their walk across the parking lot by National Grid EV Make-Ready Program Manager Whitney Skeans who, once at the charging stations, provided a quick lesson about their functionality and how residents can take advantage of the four new plugs.  

The gleaming four-story apartment building in North Tonawanda boasts 108 units. The Visones hosted elected officials and guests on Oct. 23 to provide tours and show off the new space that represents a culmination of the Visones vision to transform brownfield space more than 10 years ago.

National Grid’s EV Make-Ready Program helps business customers fund up to 100% of project costs related to installing electricity infrastructure. The company plans to invest more than $150 million in Make-Ready incentives to install 9,000 plugs across Upstate New York by the end of 2025.
