National Grid has scheduled an emergency power outage for the Ticonderoga region Saturday, Dec. 9, from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. so that crews can complete repairs as part of the company’s reliability work in the area.

National Grid is preparing for a weather system that is expected to deliver a wintry mix of rain, sleet, and heavy, wet snow that may impact a broad area of customers in the Mohawk Valley and northern areas of Adirondacks beginning Sunday and continuing through Monday evening.

The Nassau County Stand Down was a huge success again this year. The Nassau County Annual Veterans Winter Stand Down was hosted by Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency, the event welcomed over 500 hundred Veterans who were in line at the Freeport Armory in Freeport to participate and receive services and general needs items.

The John Theissen Toy Drive kicked off National Grid’s Season of Giving Campaign which is part of Project C the Companies commitment to communities. National Grid’s Season of Giving involves employees volunteering, distributing food and providing donations to local community organizations.
