Long Island, NY – National Grid awarded $2 million in Economic Development Grants in 2023 to more than 20 projects across Long Island.

National Grid plans to invest more than $4 billion to transform its energy delivery system and propel economic growth across Upstate New York.

Brooklyn, NY – National Grid employees welcomed sophomore and junior students from George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School to their Brooklyn office as part of the third annual New York City Public Schools and Partnership for New York City Career Discovery Week.

National Grid has increased staffing and extended work shifts as damaging winds and heavy, wet snow remain in the forecast through Monday for portions of Eastern, Central and Northern New York.

National Grid is once again the regional presenting sponsor for the American Red Cross’ Sound the Alarm campaign, which helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don’t have them, and by educating people about home fire safety.

National Grid crews continue to work around the clock and have restored power to 191,600, or 97%, of the nearly 198,000 customers impacted by the severe winter storm that caused widespread damage across Upstate New York beginning Wednesday.
