Learn more about how National Grid Ventures gives back to the communities we serve.
National Grid Ventures goes the extra mile to deliver a positive impact on our communities.
This includes helping our communities in times of need, supporting STEM education programs, driving economic growth and clean energy jobs, as well as making a positive impact on the environment through our renewable energy projects.
Below are a few examples of ways that National Grid Ventures has given back.
When COVID-19 struck, National Grid Ventures kickstarted a fundraising campaign with £100,000 for the University Hospitals Birmingham charity to go towards the purchase of tablet computers, allowing patients and families to connect at some of the most critical of times.
For our 6th year in a row, our Solihull, UK-based team brought to life Work Inspiration Week, which gave local students interested in the supported internship programme further insight into what National Grid Ventures does and a taste for some of the tasks they might undertake on placement.
National Grid Renewables has established an estimated $800,000 Community Fund for its 200 MW Crocker Wind Farm in South Dakota. The Fund will support communities surrounding this clean energy project and is above and beyond other economic benefits being brought by this clean energy project.
