Temporary evening traffic management between Spaniel’s Bridge Road and Horton Road junction
As we move into the final stage of construction of the North Wessex Downs VIP project, we need to install safety netting above the section of road between Spaniel’s Bridge Road and the Horton Road junction. To do this safely, we will use temporary traffic lights.
From Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August 2026, temporary traffic lights will operate each evening between 6:30pm and midnight.
This map shows the section of road where the temporary traffic management measures will be in place.
These measures will allow our team to install netting between temporary scaffolding on either side of the road. The netting will protect road users during later works to connect the existing overhead line to the new eastern Cable Sealing End Compound (CSEC).
The road will remain open throughout these works. However, journey times may be longer than usual, so please allow extra time if you plan to travel along this route.
