In preparation for high wind warnings forecasted in portions of New York State beginning Sunday and continuing through Monday, National Grid has increased staffing of service, tree, damage assessment and public safety workers.

MELVILLE / BROOKLYN, N.Y. – National Grid is prepared to provide it’s 1.9 million customers in New York City and Long Island with sufficient natural gas to heat their homes and businesses on the coldest days this winter.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and National Grid today launched the Home Energy Savings Program, a pioneering, pay-for-performance residential energy savings pilot program in Central New York.
