National Grid Participates in John Theissen Toy Drive for Sick Children
The John Theissen Toy Drive kicked off National Grid’s Season of Giving Campaign which is part of Project C the Companies commitment to communities. National Grid’s Season of Giving involves employees volunteering, distributing food and providing donations to local community organizations.
For the second year, National Grid as participated in the John Theissen Toy Drive, in partnership with the Girls Elite Hockey Team, the New York Islanders and Northwell Health Ice Center, which National Grid supports. This year the Company donated over $400 in toys and is collecting toys at their Long Island offices to be delivered before the holidays.
The John Theissen Foundation Toy drive collects unwrapped toys for sick and underprivileged children in over 180 hospitals and child-care facilities. The organization says, ‘sometimes a smile is the best medicine.’
