National Grid Employees Donate Food Baskets to Families at Hope 7 Community Center in Troy, NY
National Grid employees in Troy donated Thanksgiving dinners to the Hope 7 Community Center for families in need.
This year, employees in Troy donated twice as many Thanksgiving meals than last year to the Community Center's 39th Thanksgiving meal program.
The donation brought the total number of families sponsored this holiday to 138.
This is the National Grid’s second year donating meals for Hope 7’s Thanksgiving project. The National Grid employees also sponsor families for Hope 7’s toy drive for Christmas.
The Thanksgiving meals go to families in the East Troy and Wynantskill areas and include canned foods like corn and cranberry sauce as well as fresh produce like potatoes and carrots and a turkey or ham.
WTEN in Albany covered the donation in the news clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DGG7uBifno
