National Grid and Queens Public Library Celebrate Elmhurst Library Garden Transformation
Queens, NY – National Grid representatives joined Queens Public Library President and CEO Dennis M. Walcott, alongside community members, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the newly beautified Elmhurst Library Garden. The garden adorned with vibrant shrubs, plants, and flowers, serves as a habitat for butterflies, bees, and other insects. This project, along with enhancements at five other library gardens – Windsor Park, Langston Hughes, Ridgewood, East Elmhurst, and Glendale – was made possible through a grant from National Grid’s Project C community commitment, supporting sustainable and vibrant communities.
