BROOKLYN, NY / WALTHAM, MA – National Grid is joining forces with local food banks and pantries across New York and Massachusetts to help combat food insecurity for families facing economic challenges as demand for assistance continues to rise.

Brooklyn, NY – 96 organizations representing over 1.7 million New Yorkers have now signed on in support of the Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) Project, reflecting growing statewide consensus on the importance of reliable, affordable energy for New York’s economic future.

National Grid is increasing staffing and extending evening and overnight work shifts in preparation for the forecasted cold front that may bring damaging gusty winds and thunderstorms across Upstate New York beginning Wednesday.

National Grid customers across the company’s service area will set their clocks, watches, and devices back one hour this weekend to coincide with the end of daylight saving time, which occurs at 2 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 2.

National Grid Ventures is doing their part to help oysters by partnering with REACH- a Rotary club in Huntington, NY that works to improve water quality, restore habitat, and support aquaculture by reintroducing oysters into local waters.

SUNY Adirondack is advancing its commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency with a series of major energy infrastructure upgrades, supported in part by incentives from National Grid’s Energy Efficiency Program.
