Project C at Work in Buffalo

On Aug. 16, National Grid volunteers joined Fillmore Forward for a day of celebration and community gardening in East Buffalo as they built a new space and dedicated a pavilion for residents in nearby neighborhoods to plant vegetables and learn about gardening and sustainability.

The new area, which includes the pavilion that was funded through National Grid's Project C program, will ultimately provide access to healthy food for up to 200 East Buffalo families.

Fillmore Forward is dedicated to making the Broadway-Fillmore and Martin Luther King Jr. communities vibrant through grassroots organizing and public-private partnerships.
