Hero Treatment
National Grid partook in a Beechwood Continuing Care event that saluted staff and those who work hard to keep the community safe.
Beechwood Continuing Care, located in Getzville, has been providing elder care for more than 50 years.
The July 27 event, dubbed “Honk for Heroes,” included live music and a showcase of vehicles and personnel. National Grid Trouble Mechanics David Brodie and Brian Chandler interacted with residents and others who asked them questions about their roles, the various functions of the equipment and the truck, and thanked them for all they do. Joining National Grid personnel were those from local police and sheriff's departments, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard, to name a few.
