Volunteers clean up local green space in community litter pick

National Grid joined forces with principal contractors M Group and Murphy to help tidy canal paths and communal areas across Lee Valley Regional Park. The park is a popular destination for residents and visitors alike and plays an important role in connecting local communities with nature and encouraging outdoor activity.

The initiative forms part of NLR’s wider commitment to supporting the communities we operate in. By taking part in activities that enhance local environments, our teams continue to demonstrate their dedication to giving back to the areas directly impacted by our operations.

Michael Crabbe, Senior Project Manager said:

We take real pride in supporting the communities we work in, and events like this are a simple but meaningful way for us to be good neighbours. It’s important to us that we look after the places local people value and continue building positive relationships with the area.
