Zoë Yujnovich

Career: Zoë is a globally recognised business leader with a distinguished track record in the energy sector. Appointed as CEO in 2025, she leads a business spanning US, UK and European energy markets and has announced an extended and upgraded five-year investment framework, with £70 billion of capital investment to be deployed across the Group to 2031.
Zoë began her career at Rio Tinto, where she held senior management roles across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Canada.

In 2014, Zoë joined Shell plc as Executive Vice President in Canada. She was later appointed as Shell’s Country Chair and Executive Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, and then as Executive Vice President of Conventional Oil and Gas based in the Netherlands. In October 2021, Zoë was appointed to Shell’s Executive Committee in London as Director of Integrated Gas and Upstream.

Skills and competencies: Zoë is recognised for driving performance and delivering strategic impact across complex international energy businesses. She has extensive leadership experience across operational, commercial and strategic roles in global energy markets, with experience spanning the UK, US, Europe, Australia, Brazil and Canada.

Zoë also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Unilever plc, sits on the Board of the British American Business Council, and is a member of both the US National Petroleum Council and the UK’s Business Council.

She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and an Executive MBA from the University of Utah. In 2025, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Western Australia in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the private sector.
