Appointed Executive President UK in September 2026, Cordi O'Hara leads National Grid's UK businesses, overseeing the safe and reliable operation of the country's electricity transmission and distribution networks, as well as National Grid's interconnector portfolio.  

She is responsible for delivering an investment programme of around £40 billion to modernise and expand the UK's energy infrastructure, helping unlock economic growth and opportunity, deliver long-term affordability for customers, and maintaining the reliable and resilient energy system on which homes, businesses and communities depend.  

Cordi joined National Grid in 2014 and has held several senior leadership roles, including President of National Grid Ventures, President of National Grid Electricity Distribution, Chief Operating Officer of National Grid's US Gas business, and Director of the UK System Operator.   

Prior to this, she spent 15 years at Centrica, initially as an energy trader. A passionate advocate for innovation, inclusion and the role of infrastructure in enabling net zero, Cordi became a Fellow of the Energy Institute in 2016 and was awarded an OBE in 2019 for services to the energy industry.  

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Manchester and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bath and is the executive sponsor of Women in National Grid (WiNG).
