For anyone who hasn’t heard of LCD Supplies, what does your business do?
We’ve been in the industry for around 30 years and over time we’ve evolved from being purely a cable distributor to supplying almost anything a site needs. If something’s needed for a UK infrastructure project, we’ll usually stock it. Today, we provide a full range of products and services, from signage and health and safety equipment to stationery, cleaning supplies and even basics like tea and coffee.
The session brought together Electrical Level 2 students, who worked to strengthen and refine their CVs while gaining practical advice on entering the construction, engineering and infrastructure sectors.
Students arrived with draft CVs, giving National Grid staff the chance to offer direct, one-to-one feedback. Colleagues shared practical tips on how to highlight transferable skills, improve personal statements and present qualifications and experience clearly to employers.
