WALTHAM, MA – National Grid is preparing for its second winter storm of the week to impact Massachusetts Wednesday evening through early Thursday morning, bringing a wintry mix of snow and heavy rain along with strong winds into the region.

Children, families and individuals transitioning out of foster care with Little Flower Children and Family Services have a new store to shop for essential items needed for daily life, thanks to volunteers from National Grid’s Graduate Development Program (GDP).

National Grid has increased staffing and has extended evening and overnight work shifts in preparation for a weather forecast that calls for another round of snow, ice and rain across the greater Capital Region of upstate New York tomorrow and Thursday.

WALTHAM, MA – Recognizing the challenges small businesses face with increased energy costs this winter, National Grid today announced it is partnering with four nonprofit business associations to distribute $1 million in grants to help businesses with their energy bills.

WALTHAM, MA – Following a damaging storm that swept through Central and Western Massachusetts on Monday bringing heavy wet snow and gusting winds that toppled trees, took down power lines, and broke poles, National Grid remains focused on the safety of its employees and communities during clean-up, repairs, and restoration.

The National Grid Foundation is contributing $500,000 to further support western New Yorkers who continue to recover from the historic blizzard that impacted Buffalo and much of the region in December.

As part of National Grid’s ongoing commitment to helping customers manage energy costs this winter, especially those facing financial hardships exacerbated by the blizzard, a Community Resources Event for low- to moderate-income customers will be held Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Johnnie B. Wiley Amateur Athletic Sports Pavilion, located at 1100 Jefferson Ave. in Buffalo.
