WALTHAM, MA – National Grid announced today that Massachusetts residential electric customers who receive their electric supply, called Basic Service, from National Grid, can expect lower bills for the six-month period beginning May 1 based on a summer rate adjustment proposal filed today with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.

National Grid’s eastern New York field force has grown to more than 3,300 line, service, tree, damage assessment and public safety workers who continue around-the-clock power restoration as the destructive three-day nor’easter moves out of the region today. As of 11 a.m.

National Grid’s field force of more than 3,000 workers is responding to power outages in eastern and central New York in dangerous weather conditions as an ongoing, powerful nor’easter continues to bring heavy, wet snow and high winds to the region.

WALTHAM, MA – National Grid has over 3,000 field personnel responding to power outages caused by downed limbs, trees, and poles resulting from the heavy snow and strong wind gusts of the Nor’easter impacting Massachusetts today.

BROOKLYN/HICKSVILLE, NY – National Grid’s storm readiness team has been monitoring the weather forecast and preparing to ensure reliability of the energy delivery system as a Nor’easter is expected to bring a wintry mix with heavy wind and rain to the New York region starting tonight.

WALTHAM, MA – National Grid is prepared for a powerful Nor’easter to impact Massachusetts Monday evening through Wednesday, bringing significant snow, strong winds, rain, and minor coastal flooding into the region.

National Grid has increased staffing and is extending evening and overnight work shifts today through Wednesday in preparation for a significant winter storm that is expected to bring prolonged heavy, wet snow and gusty winds to portions of central and eastern New York.
