Penrhos Community Fund

National Grid has a long-standing commitment to the communities we work alongside, and we want to ensure lasting benefits for the people and places that host our infrastructure.

Our work on Penrhos substation means we will deliver a community fund of £530,000.

Shaped by the community, for the community, and developed in line with government guidance, this fund will be designed to reflect local needs and support projects that benefit local people into the future.

How we've listened to your views

Between 8 April and 20 May 2026, we invited you to share your ideas on how Penrhos Community Fund could best support your area.

We received 131 responses and are currently reviewing the feedback you shared. These will help shape the types of projects that could be supported and how funding might be allocated. An independent fund administrator will be appointed to manage the application process.

We would like to thank everyone in the community for taking the time to share their ideas and perspectives. Alongside the survey, we have also been speaking with local organisations and representatives to understand priorities and opportunities for funding that reflect what matters most to the area.
