National Grid graduates champion local clean-up effort

National Grid graduates working on the Willesden and Kensal Green Connection project spearheaded a community clean-up at Wesley Playing Fields in Ealing, building on the success of a similar event held earlier this year.

Wesley Playing Fields is a key green space for the local community, used by residents and visitors alike during the summer months. Following the success of the first community litter pick organised in March 2025, we partnered with Ealing Council to support in maintaining a vital green space for local people.

The community initiative was driven by graduates to ensure the area remains a clean and welcoming space for local residents to enjoy and forms part of the Willesden and Kensal Green Connection project’s wider commitment to community betterment. The efforts on the day underscore the dedication of emerging project managers in the industry to give back to communities affected by our operations in their local area.

Local park ranger Pat Robinson, who helped organise the activity in partnership with National Grid, commented “It was wonderful to see the turnout to the clean-up. The Ealing Park Ranger Service really appreciates the efforts from the team in maintaining the cleanliness of the park given its significance to the local community.”
