Traffic management measures on A134 Colchester Road between 8 and 12 December 2025
Since our Development Consent Order for the Bramford to Twinstead Reinforcement was granted, we have carried out preparatory works ahead of main construction starting. The next stage of work will involve putting up new signage with information on a speed limit reduction on A143 Colchester Road. You can read more about the speed limit reduction here.
To ensure the safety of our workforce and the public while this is carried out, traffic management measures (temporary traffic lights) are expected on part of the A134 Colchester Road from Monday 8 December 2025 until Friday 12 December 2025, between 08:00 and 17:30. Outside of these hours, the traffic management will be removed. During the times outlined, temporary traffic lights will be in place. Advance warning signs have been displayed, and the work areas will be clearly marked with cones and barriers.
The work is being carried out by Balfour Beatty, on behalf of National Grid.
