National Grid’s expanded field force has worked around the clock to restore service to 86,100 of the 93,700 (92%) customers impacted by the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby, which left a trail of destruction across Upstate New York.

National Grid line, service, tree, damage assessment and public safety workers continue around-the-clock cleanup and restoration after the destruction left behind by Tropical Storm Debby’s heavy rain and damaging winds, with gusts exceeding 55 mph in some areas.

National Grid has increased staffing and extended work shifts in preparation for excessive rainfall expected through tonight as Tropical Storm Debby makes its way across the region.
