Incident Response 

On this page, you’ll find out how we can support you with incident response. Emergency situations are always challenging and difficult, but knowing there’s support systems and plans in place can make all the difference.  

In the event of an emergency, we have specialist trained personnel to respond to and evaluate the incident. In addition, we hold an emergency stock of 132k and 33kv oil filled cables to be accessed in emergency events.  Our response teams are available 24-hours, 365 days a year.  



24 Hour emergency call-out  

24 Hour Emergency Call-out

This service is a 24-hour, 365 day a year emergency call-out. We provide you with appropriately authorised and trained National Grid electricity transmission personnel to respond to and evaluate faults or incidents on plant and equipment.  

Support is provided either remotely or by deployment of a stand-by person to the site.

At our Spares & Cable facility, we store, manage and distribute emergency strategic stock using UK wide fast delivery. We’ll handle the risk and the costs associated with storing, protecting, and maintaining stock, allowing you to focus on what you do best.

Our highly experienced SF6 engineers can carry out leak detection surveys on your site using specialist thermal imaging technology, either to locate a specific leak or to survey entire SF6 filled installations; such as Gas Insulated Switchgear substations.
