How you shaped our business plan

Here you can find information about how we consulted with our stakeholders on our business plan. Thank you for your feedback, and we'd like to continue working with you into the RIIO-2 period.

How you shaped our business plan for RIIO-2

Our business plan for the RIIO-2 period (2021-2026) has now been submitted to our regulator, Ofgem.

Over the past two years, we've carried out our most extensive ever listening exercise to understand your priorities and future requirements.

We involved you through a 3 phase engagement process:

  1. established your priorities
  2. built the detail of our business plan with you
  3. checked our plan will deliver what you need.

We have published our plans and would like to hear your views. We are also on hand to answer any questions you have. Please get in touch.

Consultations

Informal licence drafting consultation

On Wednesday 30 September 2020,Ofgem published their RIIO-2 Informal licence drafting consultation for Transmission, Gas Distribution and Electricity System Operator licences. This document consults on the proposed changes to the licence conditions required to implement the RIIO-2 price control settlement for the transmission companies, gas distribution networks and the electricity system operator.

We responded to this consultation as a joint response from NGET and NGGT on 28th October. Attached is the cover letter and Executive Summary to our response. Our detailed responses to each individual question raised by Ofgem in its consultation document, and each licence condition consulted on will be published here soon.

Playback consultation on our next business plan

For the next regulatory period, RIIO-T2, we developed a business plan that’s shaped by extensive engagement with you, our stakeholders.

Our playback consultation played back what our stakeholders have told us, so we could:

  • check that we’ve understood your feedback correctly
  • invite your views on our proposed next steps and ensure they reflect your feedback.

Although the playback consultation is now closed, you can still send us your views by emailing Gary Stokes on the link below.
