Our response to coronavirus

Find out how we're working to keep the electricity and gas flowing reliably throughout the outbreak.

Concluding your connection

When you are ready to end your contract with us, all you have to do is give written notice to the Electricity System Operator (ESO) declaring your intention to terminate.

We will work with you to identify if any assets need to be disconnected, and whether you need to reduce your power outputs or intakes in advance of your disconnection.

Once this work is finished, you will receive formal confirmation that your contract is terminated, a certificate of disconnection removing you from the balancing mechanism, and a reconciliation of outstanding costs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic you may have uncertainties about your connection application or are considering modifying your application. Please take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions to assist you with any concerns you may have.

Customer checklist

  • Have you discussed ending your contract with your account manager?
  • Have you sent your formal notification to the ESO?
  • Do you need to reduce the size of your intakes or outputs?
  • Have you received confirmation of termination?

If you have answered no to any of these questions, please make an enquiry, we’re here to help.
