Grantor Jo was on a short break to the Lake District when she chanced upon this serene winter scene. "I was wandering along Derwentwater and everything was so cold and still when I remembered the Gridline competition," she says.
“Blencathra is in the distance. It was during the sub-zero cold snap and the sky was so blue and the temperature very crisp. It was beautiful and so still,”

The winner will be the entry selected by the Editor and must be a National Grid grantor at time of draw. The editor’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. Gridline reserves the right to change the prize without prior notice. It is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. By entering the competition you permit usage of the entry on Gridline Online and as an image for future caption competitions. Your grantor number must be supplied with every entry. All images submitted must be supplied in a landscape format and as high resolution as possible (the larger the file size, the better quality your image will be). The competitions are managed by our partner, Made By Sonder. Personal data will only be used for the purpose of administering the competitions and not shared with any third party.
