Programme and next steps

We are now carefully analysing the feedback provided during the non statutory consultation, held April – June 2022, and will use this to help develop our plans further for this essential network reinforcement.

In 2023 we will hold another round of consultation which will show how we have developed the design of the project further and we will set out how your feedback has influenced our decision making. This will be the statutory consultation in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act 2008.

After we have completed the statutory consultation, we will collate and analyse all feedback received and take this into account as we refine the Project design. We will then prepare and publish a Consultation Report, which will summarise the feedback we have received and outline how we carried out both the non-statutory and statutory consultations.

Consultation is important to us as it allows members of the public to influence the way project is developed by providing feedback and to help local people understand better what a particular project means for them, so that concerns resulting from misunderstandings are resolved early.  It also helps to identify potential mitigating measures to be considered.

Statutory consultation on our proposals

We will hold a statutory consultation on our proposals in 2023. This will outline how feedback from the non-statutory consultation has informed the project and provide more detail on East Anglia Green, including where we are proposing pylons would be placed and our thoughts on mitigation including undergrounding and pylon choice.

After we have completed the statutory consultation, we will collate and analyse all feedback received and take this into account as we refine the Project design.  We will then prepare and publish a Consultation Report, which will summarise all the feedback we have received and outline how we carried out both the non-statutory and statutory consultations.
