On this page, you’ll find out how we can support your business with operational control through our Transmission Network Control Centre (TNCC) 24/7, 365 days a year. 

As part of our role as the backbone of the energy industry, National Grid operates the Transmission Network Control Centre (TNCC). The control centre makes sure energy is safely moved around the network to get where it’s needed.  

We work 24/7, 365 days a year and can offer you services in Control Person Operation (CPO) and alarm monitoring, and in safety management: Control Person Safety (CPS).

Our Transmission Network Control Centre (TNCC) provides Control Person Operation (CPO) services to customers who require assistance with their operational switching.  

We can also offer you an alarm monitoring service via the same control centre. This gives you peace of mind that your operations are safe and secure.
