A construction traffic management plan has been agreed with the local authorities which sets out the roads our vehicles can use for construction work and for removing the pylons.

When we’re working on the highways, our contractors need to manage the traffic to keep everyone safe. This will involve using temporary ‘stop/go’ boards, traffic lights and some short-term road closures.

Our contractors put up advance notice signs to let local road users know of any traffic restrictions and road closures.

We have agreed the following timings with the local highway authority.

Towerhead Road6 – 11 July 2026 Overnight resurfacing works along Towerhead Road following the removal of two temporary access points.

Road closure in place along Towerhead Road between 7pm on 6 July and 5am on 11 July 2026.

Working hours will be from 7pm to 5am each day, with traffic management operatives on site during working hours.

Please note: the road will now remain open to traffic between the hours of 5am and 7pm.
