Land Sustainability Strategy Manager Helene Parpworth is leading on the strategy to meet our commitment of improving the environmental value of our non-operational land by 10% in the UK. As well as helping to address the depletion of the natural environment and the biodiversity crisis, Helene recognised that this also contributes to tackling the climate crisis as the two are interconnected through ecosystem services that biodiversity supports. As a result, she is working to weave climate change mitigation into the strategy, such as woodland management schemes for the existing woodland we have across our portfolio, as well as planting new trees. Conserving and sustainably managing biodiversity is critical to addressing climate change, and Helene is ensuring this is factored into our strategy.
