Traffic management measures on A131 Sudbury Road between 2 December 2025 and 26 March 2026

Since our Development Consent Order for the Bramford to Twinstead Reinforcement was granted, we have been carrying out preparatory works ahead of main construction. We will shortly be constructing a bellmouth, which ensures that our team and vehicles can access local roads safely.

To ensure the safety of our workforce and the public while this is carried out, traffic management measures (temporary traffic lights) will be in place on part of the A131 Sudbury Road (What3Words: runner.feasted.dizziness) between Tuesday 2 December 2025 and Thursday 26 March 2026, between 08:00 and 17:30. Outside of these hours, the traffic management will be removed. During these times, temporary traffic lights will be in place. Advance warning signs will be displayed, and the work areas will be clearly marked with cones and barriers.

The work is being carried out by Balfour Beatty, on behalf of National Grid.

You can view the exact location of our works by typing runner.feasted.dizziness into What3Words.

We understand that our work may cause some disruption to your journey, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Our teams will work to complete these activities as efficiently and safely as possible.
