This consultation is being carried out by NGV, a division of National Grid plc, in line with the requirements of the Planning Act 2008.

On 31 October 2022, we launched our second stage of public consultation on our draft plans. We are inviting stakeholders, local communities and other interested parties to provide feedback on our latest plans. The consultation closes at 8.59am on 29 November 2022. All comments will be reviewed and considered by the team as we develop and finalise our plans. We will then submit an application for a Development Consent Order (DCO) to the Planning Inspectorate, the Government body responsible for handling the DCO applications.
As part of our application, we will produce a consultation report which will summarise all feedback and how we have had regard to comments.
