Going underground in the Cotswolds – Extra event added

Cleeve Hill Golf ClubSaturday 23 September (10:00-14:00)

Following the success of its events during July and August, National Grid is giving the local community an extra chance to hear about progress on its once-in-a-generation plans that are set to transform the landscape on the Cotswolds Plateau.

If approved, the exciting proposals will see around 7 kilometres of overhead electricity line and approximately 18 pylons replaced with cables buried underground from Postlip Mill near Winchcombe to the edge of the Cotswold Plateau north of Dowdeswell Wood.

Thanks to the Cleeve Common Trustees and Cleeve Common Golf Club, we will now be hosting an extra pop-up event at Cleeve Hill Golf Club on Saturday 23 September (10:00-14:00).

Local people are encouraged to come along to find out more, speak to members of the team and share their feedback.

Expect updates on how we will build the project, our ongoing ecological and archaeological survey work and the emerging preferred underground cable route.
