Chanda Kabwe voluntarily teaches an engineering module at The JCB Academy, a technical college that trains engineers and future leaders. With the energy industry focused on achieving net zero, Chanda used his experience as a Programme Planning Engineer to update the curriculum from a heavy focus on fossil fuels such as coal and oil to greener power generation. The Academy passed his revisions to the qualification provider and the exam board has decided to use Chanda’s revisions to update its training unit. This will now be taught across all schools completing this engineering qualification, meaning future engineers are better prepared to deliver net zero.
