Chief Engineers

We are proud of our core capabilities in engineering. Our engineers and the expertise they bring to work every day is at the heart of why National Grid is such a great company.

To celebrate and support this vital part of what we do, we have Group-wide roles of Chief Gas Engineer and Chief Electricity Engineer. These roles make sure there is significant focus on engineering at a senior level, providing appropriate input into the group Executive Committee.

It’s engineering that transforms our ideas into reality and makes sure we can deliver what our customers need from us. Our engineer colleagues are always there, ready to respond to emergency calls, carry out planned work and make sure energy gets to where it’s needed, quickly and efficiently.

The Chief Engineers help us celebrate our current engineering talent, while strengthening our efforts to attract new engineers to National Grid at one of the most exciting times to be in the energy industry.
