Traffic management measures on the A134 on 25 April
Since our development consent application for the Bramford to Twinstead Reinforcement was granted in September 2024, we have been carrying out works to prepare for construction to take place along the project route.
As we prepare for the start of main construction activities along the project route, archaeological investigations have been undertaken at the main site construction compound near Leavenheath. These investigations are now complete.
To ensure the safety of our team while equipment is being moved out of the site, traffic management measures will be in place between 09:30 and 15:00 on Friday 25 April 2025.
This work will be carried out by Balfour Beatty, on behalf of National Grid.
During this period, temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on a section of the A134 between the B1068 and Marshalls Green junctions (What3Words: reclaim.shorter.defrost) to ensure that the northbound side of the road can be closed. The traffic signals will be operated manually.

We know our work may cause some disruption to journeys and we apologise for any inconvenience. We will be working with our contractor Balfour Beatty to keep traffic moving as best we can and to complete our work as quickly as possible.
