Communities

We don’t just supply power to our communities, we are part of them. A strong community is good for the people who live there, good for our business and good for the wider economy.

That’s why we partner with charity organisations and provide communities with one-off grants to support their social, economic and environmental development. And we encourage our employees to pursue skills-based volunteering and fundraising opportunities, because we believe service to others develops workplace skills and helps create thriving societies.

Our employees also support local schools and colleges with work experience opportunities and careers advice sessions. Our engineers help to bring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects to life through a wide range of projects.
