Gridline photo competition
Grantor Richard Felce is this edition's £150 shopping voucher winner for this lovely picture of his trio of faithful hounds enjoying the sun-bathed countryside.
Richard took the winning shot as he walked his dogs along the Elham Valley Way path that runs through his farm near Hythe in Kent. "I was out walking them one evening and had the Gridline 'In the Country' theme in mind when my working Kelpie, Scout, put herself at the centre of the shot.
"The setting sun and foliage round the path made an impressive tunnel of light and I had my digital camera with me, so snapped the shot and emailed it over."
He adds: "I've finally managed to take some decent photos with it, so the Gridline competition was a nice opportunity to share one I'm particularly proud of. I'm very glad I did."

Caption competition

Simply submit a humorous dialogue, witty one-liner or caption and the best entry collects a high street shopping voucher of the entrant's choice.

Competition Terms and Conditions
The winner will be the first entrant selected at random who correctly identifies the answer and is a National Grid grantor at time of draw. The editor’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. Gridline reserves the right to change the prize without prior notice. It is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. By entering the competition you permit usage of the entry on Gridline Online. Your grantor number must be supplied with every entry. All images submitted for both competitions must be supplied in a landscape format and as high resolution as possible (the larger the file size, the better quality your image will be). The competitions are managed by our partner, Made By Sonder. Personal data will only be used for the purpose of administering the competitions and not shared with any third party.
