Kirsty Ingham

Kirsty Ingham is the Commercial & Regulation Manager at ESB

Kirsty has over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, working for utilities in energy trading, strategy and regulation, and as a procurement and strategy consultant. She has worked with major industry players across the world on a wide range of projects including infrastructure feasibility, asset valuation, market entry and commercial strategies, contract arbitration and litigation, and the future of gas in both new and mature gas markets.

Her current role at ESB is focused on gas regulation, gas to power market interactions, and gas and power network charging across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

ESB is the incumbent power generator in Ireland, operating a large gas-fired portfolio in the Single Electricity Market. It also owns and operates 1.2 GW of gas-fired generation in GB. Carrington (880 MW) is the most recently constructed CCGT in GB, commencing operations in 2017. In the same year, ESB Energy began to supply gas and electricity to domestic customers in GB and now has over 50,000 customers.
