Clean up work is undertaken ensuring National Grid meets the latest environmental legislation and complies with the requirements for the proposed end use of the land.  The company follows government guidelines and uses nationally and internationally accepted clean up methods.

National Grid will only sell land in an unremediated state where it has clear evidence that the purchaser not only has the commitment to clean up the land, but also the experience and financial resources to complete the job correctly.
