Levi Roots, the man who sung his way to securing financial backing for his ‘Reggae Reggae Sauce’, recently helped National Grid celebrate the third anniversary of ONE - the company’s ethnic diversity awareness network - at the Motor Heritage Museum in Gaydon.
The ONE event celebrated National Grid’s core value of Respect, and was an occasion full of recognition and awareness of the cultural diversity enjoyed across the Warwick-based business.
Hana Akram, the event’s organiser, said: “The event provided a great opportunity to get the business together to celebrate ONE’s third birthday. Levi was inspirational and certainly gave everyone food for thought.”
Levi appeared on Dragons’ Den in 2007, and following his performance of ‘The Reggae Reggae Sauce Song’ he secured a business deal which saw his sauce being sold on Sainsbury’s shelves.
Hana said: “Levi’s main message was to stay focussed – set your goals and work towards them. That encourages us all to keep going forward together.”
