Caddington and East Barnet gas incident press releases
Around 1300 homes in Caddington, Luton and around 1730 in East Barnet were left without a gas supply on 20 December after water entered the local gas main.
National Grid engineers from across the country worked around the clock over the festive season to try to reconnect supplies and cooking and heating appliances have been distributed to affected households. Volunteers from the local community helped to distribute information and check on vulnerable residents.
