National Grid hereby notifies users that the commissioning of the new 107 km Three Cocks to Felindre (feeder 28) pipeline will be finally completed by the 22nd January. Commissioning of this section of the pipeline was originally planned to be completed before Christmas, however, not all of the essential diagnostic inspections required to certify the pipeline could be completed and therefore work was rescheduled for the first two weeks in January when specialist sub-contractors became available.
Final works are scheduled to start around 17th January and will be carried out over a 4-5 day period - when there will be a requirement for some additional gas supplies to be delivered to the System and accordingly Users may see small increases to the daily opening linepack levels.
This is the third and final phase of the 2006/07 to 2007/08 construction programme to link the two new LNG importation terminals at Milford Haven with the existing NTS Pipeline system.
