Please note that the "Preliminary Safety & Firm Monitor Requirements 2009/10" have been published to the community by the "Joint Office of Gas Transporters". These proposals have also been published on http://www.nationalgrid.com/uk/Gas/Data/storage/.

The new methodology calculates the total safety monitor storage space and deliverability requirement as a single "total storage" entity rather than broken down into Long, Medium and Short range storage requirements. This results in the production of a single safety monitor.
