Inclusion of Aldbrough Storage Site in National Grids Market Information Portfolio - 12 June 2008

Aldbrough Storage site may, over the next few weeks, offtake small quantities of gas as part of their site commissioning procedures prior to commencing actual commercial storage operations at a later date.

Until full commercial storage operations commence it will be impossible for Aldbrough to withdraw gas onto the NTS, but in recognition of this potential to offtake gas and act as a demand on the NTS Aldbrough will be included in the Total NTS Demand figure and will also be added as a Unique Site to the AOF report.

Upon the commencement of commercial operations, the National Grid website will be reconfigured to display the full suite of information applicable to a site of this type and in line with our obligations to publish operational information.

National Grid has no intelligence as to what use the operators of Aldbrough Storage are putting this offtaken gas prior to the commencement of commercial storage operations, nor are we aware of firm dates when this commercial operation may commence, and any queries should be directed to the storage operators directly.
