Gemini System Update – 21:54

Further to our recent update, shipper access to the Gemini system is back in service. Therefore capacity auctions will now be conducted in Gemini as usual. Full details are as below:

Entry Capacity Auctions – Update following planned restoration of Gemini

Due to the restoration of the Gemini system National Grid NTS has now suspended the contingency arrangements for Entry Capacity Auctions.

The within day firm (WDDSEC) contingency auction for gas day 26 Oct and the  day-ahead interruptible (DISEC) contingency auction for gas day 27 Oct, have been completed as per previous correspondence.  Users can view any allocated bids and capacity entitlements and reports pertaining to these contingency auctions using the normal Gemini screens.

Entry Capacity Auctions for Gas Day 26th October

From the next available time bar on gas day 26 Oct National Grid NTS is intending to re-commence within day firm (WDDSEC) entry capacity auction allocations for gas day 26th October and carry out an hourly assessment of bids thereafter.  Users should place bids for these auctions using the normal Gemini functionality.

Any bids which have not been allocated in the contingency WDDSEC auction held earlier today will be rolled over in to the further WDDSEC auctions held on Gemini for the gas day 26th October. 

Entry Capacity Auctions for Gas Day 27th October

National Grid is intending to complete the first day ahead firm entry capacity (DADSEC) auction allocation for gas day 27th Oct at hour bar 01:00.  From this point the normal DADSEC auction process will apply.

National Grid NTS has completed the DISEC auction for gas day 27th October earlier today as part of the contingency arrangements.  There will be no further DISEC auctions held on Gemini for gas day 27th Oct. 

DISEC auctions for gas days 28th Oct and beyond will be completed on Gemini as usual.
Please note: National Grid will not accept any further bids for future entry capacity auctions sent to the contingency fax numbers used over the last two days.  If Users are having problems with Gemini access, please follow the normal process and use the relevant pro-forma’s and fax numbers on these forms.  Users will be informed if National Grid will need to re-establish contingency arrangements and will issue further advice on fax numbers to use in these circumstances.  All usual rules and conventions regarding times of auctions, numbers of bids etc.. will now apply.
