Shipper Access to Gemini Systems – Update

26/10/2007

Further to yesterday’s update, we have been extensively testing the changes identified to resolve the issues currently being experienced with the Gemini system. Whilst this testing has been progressing well during the night and this morning, a further error has materialised on one of the system screens.

We have completed the necessary system changes to isolate this identified screen error and have commenced system testing to demonstrate that the rest of the Gemini system, with the exception of this screen, can be released to users. We anticipate being able to bring Gemini back for direct user access during the course of today and will advise further in due course.

Until such time as this testing is completed we intend to continue with the Code Contingency arrangements as applied yesterday and will remain in effect for Gas Day 26th October 2007. Details of updates of these arrangements continue to be published on the National Grid UK website under Gas / Data / News (http://www.nationalgrid.com/uk/Gas/Data/News/ ).

In line with previous instruction, we would be grateful if any shipper enquiries could be redirected back to their normal 24/7 operational contacts who will liaise directly with the National Grid Incident team.
